Every year,
planned out.
Start at 6 and follow one path to 17. Every year has one programme and two assessments, so you always know what comes next and how far they have come.
Robotics: the plan
- 2027 Age 6 PreschoolLEGO EV3 Junior New level, coming soon
Building from picture steps, then one motor and a few picture blocks.
- 2028 Age 7 Year 1
- 2029 Age 8 Year 2
- 2030 Age 9 Year 3
A switch on purpose: EV3 Level 3 needs Year 5 maths, so these two years build sensors and radio skills instead.
- 2031 Age 10 Year 4
Moving machines and sorters, using the ratio and coordinates taught in Year 4.
- 2032 Age 11 Year 5
Back to EV3, now ready for multi-step problem solving.
- 2033 Age 12 Year 6
Remote control and walking robots, while EV3 Level 4 waits for Form 1 algebra.
- 2034 Age 13 Form 1
Competition robotics (WRO).
- 2035 Age 14 Form 2
Real circuits, alongside Form 2 Science electricity.
- 2036 Age 15 Form 3
- 2037 Age 16 Form 4
ESP32 with WiFi and Bluetooth.
- 2038 Age 17 Form 5
Complete IoT systems — the last level of the path.
Game development: the plan
- 2027 Age 6 PreschoolScratch Junior New level, coming soon
Picture-led blocks; no reading needed in class or in the papers.
- 2028 Age 7 Year 1
Motion, costumes, events and their first simple games.
- 2029 Age 8 Year 2
Variables, sensing and comparisons.
- 2030 Age 9 Year 3
Lists, remainders and game physics — the step that usually takes longest. Needing extra time here is normal.
- 2031 Age 10 Year 4
Geometry with angles, game physics and bigger projects.
- 2032 Age 11 Year 5
Typed code for the first time.
- 2033 Age 12 Year 6
Files, data and turtle graphics. Game and software still share every class until here.
- The paths split here. Game and software development share every class from 6 to 12. At 13 your child chooses: games in Pygame and Godot, or Python, web development and IGCSE Computer Science.
- 2034 Age 13 Form 1
The paths split here: 2D games written in Python.
- 2035 Age 14 Form 2
Bigger games, ending in a game published on itch.io.
- 2036 Age 15 Form 3
A professional game engine, using Form 3 trigonometry.
- 2037 Age 16 Form 4
2D into 3D, with Form 4 physics.
- 2038 Age 17 Form 5
A finished portfolio game, ready for Google Play.

- 2035 Age 14 Form 2
Data, databases and web APIs.
- 2036 Age 15 Form 3
Websites and apps: HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
- 2037 Age 16 Form 4
Full-stack projects, or the Cambridge exam syllabus alongside Form 4.
- 2038 Age 17 Form 5Python certification
Internationally recognised certificates, sat as real exams.
How the two assessments work
- Each level is one year of weekly classes, about 48 lessons, and its assessment is split into two papers.
- Paper A covers lessons 1 to 24 and is sat in Jul–Sep. Paper B covers lessons 25 to 48 and is sat in Jan–Mar the following year, while the next level begins.
- Each paper has questions and a hands-on build or coding task. The pass mark is 60% and distinction is 80%. Every pass earns a certificate.
- Not passed yet? Your child keeps attending and retakes at the next window, six months later, with new questions. The rest of the plan moves back by half a year — that is normal, not a sign of low effort.
- Joining after 6? Older beginners skip the Junior levels and start at the first level that fits their age, then move faster. See all three pathways or ask us at a free trial.
