02 / FOR PARENTS

How to choose the journey and plan it.

You do not need to know what a microcontroller is. You need to read your own child, and then commit to a level rather than an age.

  1. STEP 1

    Read the child, not the trend

    Plays games all weekend and asks how they are made → Game Developer. Prefers the puzzle to the picture → Software Developer. Takes the remote control apart → Robotics Engineer.

  2. STEP 2

    Enter at the level, not the age

    Beginner is 7–10, Intermediate 11–14, Advanced 15–18 — but a child joins whichever level fits their experience. The trial session tells us which one that is.

  3. STEP 3

    Plan around the assessments

    Assessments run in June and December, one per level. Work backwards: choose a package that keeps your child in class steadily up to the sitting, and register a month ahead.

The step every path runs into

Somewhere between 10 and 14, blocks become text. That is where self-taught children quit — the screen stops forgiving them, a missing bracket breaks everything, and nothing explains why. Getting a student through that transition is the single most useful thing an instructor does, and it is why our class sizes are capped rather than filled.

03 / OUR METHOD

Coached, not spoon-fed.

We hold students to active learning and independent thinking. Coaches do not hand over the answer — they step in with technical support the moment a student is genuinely stuck.

  • Discipline into active learning

    Students try first, every time. Reading the brief, predicting the outcome and testing it is the lesson — not watching a coach demonstrate it.

  • Independent thinking first

    When a challenge stalls, the coach asks questions before giving instructions. The student keeps ownership of the solution, and of the mistake.

  • Technical support on demand

    Broken hardware, a stubborn bug, an environment that will not install — coaches with real industry experience unblock it so the lesson does not stall.

  • Progress you can see

    Weekly progress notes and project photos in the parent portal, so you know what was attempted and where the difficulty sat.

Every class runs the same five beats.

A 1.5 hour session with a fixed shape, so students always know what is expected and where they are in the work.

    An open problem with no worked example. This is where the learning shows.

05 / PROGRESS TRACKING

One record, three points of view.

Coaches record and assess in our mobile app; parents follow the same record and register for assessments from it; students work through their own portal. Nothing is kept in a private notebook.

Packages, and what they include.

Buy sessions, not months. Bigger packages bring the per-session rate down; every package includes 1.5 hour classes, all project materials, parent portal access and weekly progress notes.

Session validity, in plain terms

Sessions expire, so plan a package your child can actually finish. Two months of validity for every 4 sessions bought — 4 sessions last 2 months, 12 last 6 months, 24 last a year, counted from the purchase date.

Example: buy the RM 513 package on 1 August 2026 and every unused session expires on 1 February 2027.

Assessments cost nothing extra

There is no exam fee. Sitting an assessment simply consumes one session from your existing package.

07 / ASSESSMENT & CERTIFICATION

One assessment per level. Two chances.

Progression is earned, not assumed. Passing the level assessment is what opens the next level — and what produces a certificate anyone can verify.

  • June & Dec

    Actual assessments are held twice a year. Registration closes one month before the sitting.

  • Mock first

    Students sit a mock test before the real thing. Passing the mock is what qualifies them to register.

  • 1 retake

    Two attempts per level in total. Failing both means leaving that programme, so the mock matters.

  • Certified by Advaspire

    Every pass produces a certificate tied to the level and the course. Employers, schools and competition organisers can check it themselves — no phone call, no email.

The rules, in one place

  • One assessment per level; a pass is required to move up.
  • Register for the actual assessment at least one month early.
  • Maximum one retake — two attempts in total.
  • No assessment fee; it consumes one package session.
  • Failing both attempts means being withdrawn from that programme.

    Register and enrol

    If it fits, register as a student, pick a package and enrol in a class slot.

    Attend classes

    Weekly sessions, each following the five-beat lesson flow.

  4. 04

    Sit the mock test

    Taken in class, before any real assessment, to see if the level is solid.

  5. 05

    Register for assessment

    Pass the mock, then register — at least one month before June or December.

  6. 06

    Take the assessment

    No fee — it uses one session. One retake is available if needed.

  7. 07

    Get certified

    A pass certifies the level and unlocks the next course on the pathway.

  8. 08

    Verify it online

    The certificate is checkable at learn.advaspire.io/verify by anyone.
